A couple weekends ago Anokhi and Justin's co teachers invited us over to play mahjong and make dumplings with them. Starry, Anokhi's co teacher, and Summer, Justin's, live with another teacher at our school, Janice. They all live across the street from our gated community so we went on Saturday afternoon and met them to go play mahjong. We went to a mahjong hall and rented a private room for FOUR hours! lol That is a whole lotta mahjong! It was really fun though interesting! Starry helped Anokhi, Summer helped Justin and Janice helped me! It was hard to understand at first because some of the tiles are Chinese characters, but after a couple rounds we started to get the hang of it!
This is my winning hand! Woohoo!
Looks complicated eh?
Anokhi and me!
Janice helping me beat everyone!
After mahjong we went back to their apartment and started making dumplings! Dumplings are definitely one of my favorite foods here so we were really excited to learn how to make them!
They had prepared different fillings for us consisting of meat and veggies and then made the dough "skin" for the dumplings. We set to work filling the skins and preparing the dumplings!
Janice showing us how it's done!
Our dumplings!
Anokhi and I are opening our own dumpling shop in America...we are so good!
Dumplings galore!
They were so good and it was so fun to hang out with and meet their co teachers! I am excited to play mahjong with them again!
I have been super busy these past couple weeks and we have been working mostly 6 day weeks! I am definitely not in Thailand anymore! This is a big girl job...
Duo Duo, one of my faves from K3!
Mandy from K3 came dressed as a fairy one day!
Music time in K2 with Eva!
It has started getting really cold here so they are dressing in the school's sweatsuit uniform and it makes them look like little prisoners! But cute little prisoners!
Olivia looks so much like the baby Chinese version of my BFF, Kate. One day I will do a side by side comparison to show the similarities! It is uncanny!
Meet the teaching staff of Yew Wah International Education Kindergarten at the Rongke Campus!
